House Plan Looks to Eliminate Electric Vehicle Credit
A House Plan looks to remove the tax credit associated with purchasing, and operation and electric vehicle. A $7,500 tax credit has fueled the sales of plug in electric vehicles may be halted, if House Republicans can come up with a bill. Established in 2008, this law looked to speed up the integration process of EV’s on the road. In June of 2015, Georgia elimintated this credit and it crushed their EV sales. They went from averaging 1400 sales per month, to only 100 EV sales per month. Georgia’s credit was only for $5000.
