UPS Turns to Virtual Reality to Train Drivers
UPS has announced a new program designed for drivers to recognize safety hazards on the road. The new program looks to use Virtual Reality (VR) using VR headsets that accurately mimic the sights and sounds of the road, while allowing for a more conducive classroom learning environment. They will feature this type of training available in their 9 Integrad training facilities in the US and in Europe. VR is a progressive measure that can effectively and affordably ensure that their drivers are safe and comfortable on the road. The Integrad facilities feature fake cities where drivers can driver around, learning how to navigate vehicles through neighborhoods.
