Veteran Denied Job Over Service Dog

Veteran Leon Laferriere, was denied a job with CRST Expedited, Inc. due to him having a Service Dog. Leon had disclosed that he used a service dog, and CRST created the “Service Dog Process” and subsequently denied Laferriere’s application. the EEOC  has since sued CRST on the ground of work place discrimination against the Veteran. Leons service dog is trained to calm down his anxiety, and wake him up from a PTSD triggered nightmare. Since Laferriere had announced his use of a service dog before training, this case seems to be very cut and dry from a judicial perspective. This is one of many examples of hardships vet’s endure when they complete their service, and come back home.
